These photographs are my everyday, my peripheral vision. I often find these boys wandering into my home in the most normal, most ordinary way. I am not looking to define one moment or one period in their lives. I am not looking to tell one story. I am looking for a blend. I am looking for the textures, the details, the shifts in interests and obsessions to combine with the viewer’s thoughts of progression and childhood. My hope is that through these images one reflects on the experience of being a boy, or a sister, or a mother, like myself.
