High School is an extensive photographic survey of American youth. In the tradition of August Sander I set out to record the social dynamic of the American public high school. From 1999 - 2002, I visited high schools throughout the US exploring the details of inclusion and what it takes to belong in the social hierarchy of high school. High School continues to be exhibited around the world, most recently in Wales at the Cardiff International Festival of Photography. Works from High School are held in the collection of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.
